Flash Fiction

Flash fiction is hard to define, and harder to describe. In my opinion, it’s grown from exercises used in Writer’s Workshops for years. There’s a quote that makes sense to me, attributed to Elizabeth Cohen that “Flash fiction is a style of fictional literature or fiction of extreme brevity.”

To me, it’s a fun way to practice the craft of writing. Since part of the craft is exposing one’s work to readers, here are some of my Flash Fiction submissions.

Five Sentence Fiction
    Flame
    Conquer
    Paradise
    Whisper

Visual Dare
    Atmospheric
    Waiting
    Whorl
    Whimsy
